Founded in 1905 and with its clubhouse on the Esplanade beneath Rochester Castle, the club offers a comprehensive range of facilities for the motor cruising enthusiast. It has an active social calendar as well as home waters and abroad cruising from its deep water pontoons. The club is responsible, annually, usually early in July for providing the Admiral's Barge and accompanying the Mayor of Medway, who, as Admiral of the River, cruises those parts of the river under his jurisdiction.
